midsummer

at night we watched a bonfire

the night is short: 
sunset at 23.05
sunrise at 3.01

  1. a long, long time ago, back in the eighties i traveled through finland on a night train and experienced what you describe above, i saw trees, trees and trees, and it never really got completely dark. the train went round the golf of bothnia and later i got bitten by giant mosquitoes at rovaniemi.
    you offered me this tender memory. :)))

    1. I can imagine, it must have been quite an experience! And the mosquitoes.. I'm so not fond of them!
      I once read that if you're ever to feel worthless and small, then try sleeping in a room with one mosquito.

    1. That is wonderful to hear! I'd say, midsummer and mid winter are extremes worth of experiencing! Or perhaps winter is most beautiful in January and February.
